    On paint this badly scoured and dried out, trying to achieve any real level of correction by hand is going to be an exercise (quite literally) in frustration. Now, if you had some skill with a rotary buffer (not a tool for a novice so don't just run out and buy one) you could easily get a better result. Note we said "better result", not "perfection". Actually, probably not even close to that, regardless.

    We're inclined to agree here. Either a full respray at a competent body shop, or one of those roll on Rustoleum paint jobs that can return almost shocking results, or a nice wrap. Flat black, flat white, or flat red with maybe a carbon fiber hood, roof and trunk lid - or some combo of those.
