Re: New Car; Cloudy Dull Finish? + Newly Painted Parts

If you simply use Ultimate Compound (with "PC") followed up by a good coat of Ultimate Wax you should be in good shape. You should need neither the alcohol/water solution or Dawn.

Don't worry all that much about a little wax on the fresh paint. Make sure you check out the link I posted above. There is a ton of good information there.

Now if you don't want to mess with the Ultimate Compound and Ultimate Wax buy some ColorX -- a one step cleaner wax. You can apply it by hand or with a "PC". Apply it "with vigor" and call it good enough

Take your time and don't take it so seriously.

Sorry there's confusion going on between the two things.
The Dawn or 50/50 was for stripping the wax.
I don't know why, but i'm still somewhat concerned.
What i did before was use UC as well as the DC #1 and then i polished using DC #2.
^ is that sufficient enough? or should i still use Dawn [the blue one?] (perhaps an APC?)

As for the dullness, i plan to order a PC and try it myself =)
I'm just worked up about the dullness because the car is new and i didn't expect something like this =(.
