Squeak test is a way to test wax presence, but your car wash seems to have turned out well (the beading and sheeting side of it at least). ANother test that can tell whether you neeed a rewax is through quick detailer. Meguiars (and even mothers polishes) state that if the quick detailer is more difficult to remove or takes a bit more time to remove or smears supposing you used it properly, then thats the time you need a rewax. Even then, you can just use a spray wax (Ultimate quik wax) and maintain it with a quik detailer. I've had similar experience with NXT2.0, even when it squeaks the detailer is still a breeze to remove.

Its rainy season here, rains can really dramatically shorten wax life. The amount of environmental pollutants here is quite a lot! Even on a clean surface, after rains (especially moderately strong ones) and when it dries, the car is covered with a light barely visible grayish layer thats obviously from all the exhaust fumes for all the cars here. Even when i use collinite wax, the kind of rains we get here seems to make wax durability almost identical to each other..

The car is garaged so I don't think the rain had much affect. Uqd is still easy to apply so I should be ok

Your wax should still be in good shape, judging by the ease the quk detailer went on/off and your beading. I'd keep using the uqd for maintaining the car's paint and to know when it's time to rewax. If in doubt, you can always use ultimate quik wax.

Murr- I haven't tried the squeak test ever, nor do i plan to ever try it out. The QD test has always worked successfully for me. Balling up a terrycloth towel and rubbing it on paint seems tough on paint.
