Michael--I am having very similar experience with a badly oxidized 2000 Honda Civic that I am kind of using as my 'test car" to learn how to use the different compounds, the 7424xp, etc. After my initial attempts, the finish is VASTLY improved but I have not been able to remove some scratches that are not very deep and one spot that looks like it may be some really old bird poop that "burned in" to the paint. I am trying to be very cautious about being "too aggressive". I have spent quite a bit of time working small scratched areas mostly using UC. Thanks for any advice you have in advance.
