    Re: Foam Gun

I have a Gilmore (probably similar or made by the same manufacturer) I was not happy with mine, soap dried on car, taking the unit off and on to rinse, mixing soap, etc. etc. I used it once, and it was a novelty, and then gave it to the kids as a toy to soap themselves silly. I prefer the old standby two bucket method.

I like mine (Gilmour)... It does what I wanted it to.

Just up to you. Its not magic or anything, still have to wash the car. Soap just comes from the gun instead of a soap bucket.

The only complaint is that you need about 4 oz of wash concentrate instead of the 2 oz that's reccomended.I love using my foam gun and it works well with Meguair's car soaps as well.

Personally don't see any advantage is using a foam gun; the action of the wash mitt removes the dirt, not the spay foam. Just another piece of equipment.

One situation where I like to use my foam gun is when my purpose is to save water when dealing with heavy grime. Presoak with Megs Super Soap foam, then wash off the foam and grime with a bucket of ONR one panel at a time per directions.

I just got my Pinnacle Half a Gallon Foam Gun. Question I have is do yall dilute the soap in the reservoir ? Or do yall just put the soap in the reservoir and let the water coming out the hose just mix it?

                Re: Foam Gun

I dilute down to make sure it flows easily.

4oz in reservoir, then highest setting on adjuster bar.

Should I do 4oz soap and 4oz water or fill 4oz soap and fill the reservoir up to the top with water?

                    Re: Foam Gun

4oz of soap, and the rest with water, and then the highest setting.

That will get you about at the 128:1 ratio, which is usually recommended. Then if you wanted to change from there...

Well, the 128:1 is for Meguiars soaps... you may want to check what the other soap recommends....
