  • Mothers Foaming Tire/Wheel cleaner ...Meguiars?

I am a pretty loyal Meguiars user so I just want to throw this out there. A friend of mine requested my services to get his vehicles ready for his wedding a couple weeks ago, I brought my duffle bag of 'go-to' products to help him out, I sprayed down the tires with APC and proceeded to scrub them & he came over and said I was wasting my time & energy and tossed me a bottle of his Mothers Foaming Tire & Wheel cleaner I was skeptical when he told me to just spray all the tires down then when I get back to the first one rinse them off & they will be good to go...

I was wrong, I wish I had taken pictures because the tires that appeared to be actually fairly clean to begin with began to streak brown foam within seconds of me spraying them with the Mothers foam, like he said, when I came back to the first tire & rinsed the (now brown) foam off, once the tires dried they were spotless & black not a bit of brown on them & the white lettering was 'white' On the way home I stopped at my supplier and picked up 2 bottles and fell in love, but felt guilty because I wished that there was a Meguiars equivelant availiable, Maybe this is something to look into because I have cleaned alot of tires in my day and while APC or hotshine foam or #40 works great, there still is some elbow grease involved and that means extra time & energy that eliminated with the 'cough' Mothers product. My only complaint with the Mothers tire cleaner is how it slobbers out rather than spraying which wastes alot of product imo. ...I still applied a Meguiars dressing after the tires were cleaned ...PS If I am oblivious and there is already Meguiars equivelant, tell me what it is lol.

Not sure if Meguiar's still makes it (I think they do), but they had Hot Shine foam that cleaned and left a glossy shine behind.

    Edit- Looks like it's available...

I have tried the hotshine foam as stated above and it seemed to be a very mild cleaner that was more of a dressing rather than cleaner, decent product though.
