  • Washing your microfiber towels, washmitts and wax pads

Hey guys, I was wanting to know how most of you all after washing, waxing and pretty much detailing your or your clients cars, how do you all wash your dirty microfiber towels, washmitts and waxing pads?

For me currently here is how I do it. I first take all my dirty towels and spray stein remover to the heavily stained areas if there are any. I then take the microfiber towels and place them in a bucket, fill it full of water, then add liquid detergent and have them set in that solution over night.

Then after that I take them and ring them out several times to get as much wax, dirt, fabric detergent and whatever else that is still soaked into the towels. And finally I toss them into the washer and wash them like everything else.

And finally I either put them in the dryer or sometimes even let them air dry out in the garage and then they are ready for their next use.

Let's see from everyone else here is that how you all do it or do you all have a different method? Is there anything I'm doing wrong with this method? Anyway, thanks for your time, take care.

I just load them up in the washer and put a MF detergent and turn the machine on. I let the washer do its job and after it's done, I throw them in the dryer.

I have seen in numerous other places that you NEVER wash microfiber items using fabric softener. It will ruin their special properties.

If you want them to last, use Woolite instead of detergent

yes, the use of fabric softener will make MF lost his "dust magnet" ability
