I actually protect my headlights with car wax. Seems to add shine, so i just do it. Its nice to have "hydrophobic headlights!
Thank you for the clarification. Yes, you're right in that PlastX is a restorer-type product vs a protective product. However, in my trials of PlastX, I would buff the product until the product diminishes completely, which is past the "haze" stage. But working such a small area at a time doesn't really allow the product to haze anyway. In other words, I would put a small amount of product on a towel, spread it out over a small area (i.e. 2" x 3") and rub the living daylights out of the area, using my whole body vs just my arm alone. This works the product into the surface, removing the oxidation from the headlight (which is translated into the rust-colored residue left behind on the towel that I'm using), and buffs the area into a nice clear, restored headlight. Depending on the severity of the oxidation, the process might need to be repeated multiple times, until the clarity you desire is achieved.

It should be mentioned, that there are limitations to using PlastX alone, and more aggressive restoration techniques may need to be employed.

I'll try plastx soon, since all our cars are past 3years old.. maybe time for plastx on the headlights, and yes, thanks for the tips MaxImage. It will come in handy when i do get my hands on it!
