Re: NTX or ULW
Mixed reviews on the ultimate wax but plenty of people are happy with the NXT. I would say if you want the safe option go the NXT, but if your willing to try something new give the ultimate wax a go. I personally have never used it and dont plan to in the near future as NXT is so good.

Re: NTX or ULW
For a ddper shine, ultimate wax seems to have an advantage over NXT2 and also in terms of durability. However, i would read some of the forums here about NXT 2.0 and ultimate wax. While the Ultimate wax is a new concept (not a mere update of NXT), there have been mixed reviews about that particular wax. SOme were very impressed, but equally some were dissapointed. The NXT has been around, many still like it, some even prefer it over ultimate wax. As megs state, if you're not satisfied you can returm the unused portion and get a refund.
As to which is better in terms of looks, it can depend on the color and condition of your car's paint and most importanly, your eyes. If you want depth on dark color paint (less priority on durability though), Gold Class Carnauba plus or even DC pure carnauba is your wax.

Re: NTX or ULW
Just converted from NXT2.0 to ULW this year on my '96 GT. Just did the first (and only, so far) wax on my new '12 Mustang with ULW. So let me say this. First of all, NXT is much more enjoyable to work with. Spreads easier, dries quicker and buffs off super easy, and all with a great shine.
Butttttt.... There is something about ULW that just brings out the depth and richness of the paint. Really shows off any metallic flake it may have, too. Still really torn between the two- need to try NXT on the new car, but I have a feeling it will really just come down to weather ULW's durability is that much better to justify how much more effort it takes to deal with.2011 F150 5.0L 4x4

Re: NTX or ULW
I've used both, both work great. IF properly applied both easily wipes off. I will give the edge to UW for being easier to take off when you apply too much. Also UL has better water beading ability IMO.
Cannot go wrong either way.
IF I was planning to top a wax with lets say Hi-tech Yellow, I would use NXT 2.0 beneath it. If that makes sense.

Re: NTX or ULW
I really like Ultimate Paste Wax.
If you have 4" finishing pad - it fits really nicely into wax can and works great to apply with D/A polisher.

I topped UW with M26 and GCCP without any issues.
M07 under any coat of wax does an excellent job.
