Cleaner wax will remove below surface defects, but to remove swirls you need something with "bite" that will abrade the surrounding paint to level out the swirls. For light swirls, you would be best off with consumer line products like SwirlX or even ScratchX 2.0.

I do not have any swirles but occasionally I do get a paint rub from a piece of clothes or "something" (something about black cars...they grow scratches them themselves) Anyway ColorX will take them out easily. If they are minor and I say MINOR swirls, colorX might correct them. Worth a try, because you can use ColorX all over the car even if it is flawless.

I've found Ultimate Polish to work VERY WELL for that as well. Although its probably less aggressive than even colorX it just seems to buff out minor scratches really well.2011 F150 5.0L 4x4
