Duster

Now that I moved into a condo without car washing capacity, I appreciate the California Duster more and more. I dust almost everyday before leaving the condo, especially the days when they forecast rain.

Take the other day, we had a thunder storm in Toronto. I parked outside my garage for a few extra minutes so the rain could "rinse" my car. I drove intoi my parking space and I simply wiped down my car with a MF towel. Afterward, the car was clean and the MF was not even dirty.

This is what I noticed.

Rain water alone does not make the car dirty. But if the car is dusty, the water bubble will gather the dust into one point. When the bubble dries, it will become a black dot.

Of course, if you have driven on the wet roads for a while, the water splashed from the cars in front and side will make your car dirty as well. Nothing we can do to avoid this.

I see you are from Vancouver. I live in Toronto and the only California Duster I could find locally was in Canadian Tire for $25 CAN. Unfortunately, this duster was a lot cheaper than the original one.

I bought mine from an US online store from $15 US. Google California Duster and you will see.
