  • using quick detailers

First off, is ultimate quick detailer really worth the extra money? I know that it has hydrophobic technology but is it any more slick than the regular quick detailer?

Secondly, how is it best to use a quick detailer. I washed my truck a week ago. Can i use the quick detailer to avoid washing every week? How dirty can my truck be and still use the quick detailer?

Finally, isnt using a quick detailer running the risk of scratching the paint? I know that it creates a slick surface but wouldn't washing be safer than ever using a quick detailer? (although I am hooked on the smell the quick detailer purple bottle has!!!)

I would say that a week since your last wash would be too long to use a quik detailer. I usually use a quik detailer 1-2 days after a wash, and then every day after to keep it clean.

If you wait too long, you risk it being too dirty and causing scratches and swirls.

If you're able to, a wash is always safer than using a quik detailer.

If the car is not dirty and all you have is REAL light dust or pollen it is safe use quick detailer or Ultimate quick detailer. There is always a chance of scratching the surface expecially on dark cars. I walk next to my car and shows scratches. Sometimes I feel that I picked the wrong hobby cause I am always wiping or cleaning that BLACK MONSTER. For me quick detailer and Ultimate detailer work the same. But again that is my point of view and my 2 cents.

Worth the $$$....but instead of buying bottles of UQD, i suggest buying jugs of M135....save a **** load of $$$ From what I've read....they are the same product just marketed differently.
Using a QD is a matter of opinion when it comes to using it on a "dirty" vehicle. What is considered "very dirty" to you may be "a bit dirty" to me. After driving in rain, after I just washed the day before.....I have used UQD and had no issues....i just sprayed on more liberally on areas that appeared more dirty, used 10-12 micro fiber cloths, wiped ONE direction. Once I was satisfied I removed all traces of dirt....I went over the entire car with a couple clean MFs.
My 2005 G35 looks better than most new cars....so I know I ain't doing anything bad to my cars

I wipe my car down daily with UQD with outstanding results.
I use the Cal Duster before using the spray.
My cars always look like i just washed and waxed them.
          Good stuff.

I do the same but have to be careful with Cal duster. Use it lightly and don't swirl it around.
