  • Meguiars PlastX On New Car?

To ensure clarity and overall new appearance of the headlights on my new Jetta, should I use Meguiars PlastX on the headlights? Or is there anything else that will protect and keep my headlights looking like new?

I don't think PlastX will do much to 'preserve'. Consider getting clear mask/bra for the headlights.

I would just wax over the lights when you do the rest of the car, that seems to help keep the plastic from yellowing for a while. But over time the lenses get sand blasted and the factory UV coating will get damaged and then they will start to get hazy and cloudy. The clear mask is supposed to help protect against that but I have no experience with them...

Right- don't Plast-X them, that's a compound to revive finish and remove defects, and will remove the UV coating on the lenses. Just wax them...
