Some describe the results of a good wash as one that is beading well while others say sheeting well is better. I would think that a finish that sheets water off is better then one that beads it since intense sunlight can do a number on standing beads of water. Any thoughts on this from anyone.

Re: Car Washing
Beading or sheeting isn't caused by a good wash but by a well prepped surface with a good coat of wax. If your paint doesn't have a coat of wax or is extremely neglected then the paint won't bead or sheet even if you wash it well.

Re: Car Washing
A car wash is just that, it removes loose contaminants and soil from the vehicle. It is the wax/sealant finish which will provide the beading/sheeting action. Of course, if your paint is in good enough condition it may have enough surface tension to provide water beading if clean. And along a similar note, some car shampoo's have agents in them to help promote quick drying.2011 F150 5.0L 4x4
