Got a potential customer who wants a full detail on his older town car. It has a soft top, and its yellow in places. What can I use to bring the white back without damaging it? Would a bleach spray be too harsh? Thanks in advance...

Re: soft top cleaning
When you say it has a soft top, are you referring to a convertible top? Is it fabric or vinyl? In any case, Meguiar's does sell a convertible top cleaner. Another product to consider is Amazing Roll-Off, which can also be used on both vinyl and fabric tops.Swirls hide in the black molecular depths, only waiting for the right time to emerge and destroy your sanity.

Re: soft top cleaning
Not convertible, and its probly a vinyl material. Ya think the cleaner itself can get rid of the discoloration? Either way, thanks for the feedback. I'm considering a watered down bleach spray, and some scrubbing with a semi-soft brush. This discoloration is from years of sun exposure, and while I don't expect it it all to come out, I would like to get as white as possible.

Re: soft top cleaning
M39 Heavy Duty Vinyl Cleaner and a moderately stiff brush should take care of things here. Don't go too stiff on the brush or you'll end up scouring the vinyl top, but the M39 itself won't hurt anything. It's a great cleaner for this type of surface, or any exterior vinyl, rubber and plastic.Michael Stoops
