  • rotary / Da.. to use with which products.

    hi all..

been detailing peoples cars for a while and only using a rotary..

now looking to get myself a DA and rotary..

    currently use.
    ultimate compound (if needed)
    swirl x
    ultimate polish
    caburana(sp?) wax

would you use the rotary for all these.. or would you use the Da for some steps??

    thanks

      how does that sound?

With the rotary, you may want to get m205. And a finishing pad to follow after m105. You will get really great results. You way also want to get a DA and the new microfiber da system. It gives really excellent results in a pretty short amount of time. Many of the pro retailers are using this system. It gives great results in less time.

so the da for the final shine and wax.. but the 105/205 on the rotary for best results?

          thanks

The da with the mfda system will handle most of what you will need to do. Unless you are removing sanding scratches, the mfda system will take on most everything. You may run into very soft paint, where you might use the da with milder products. I just polished an Audi s4 and a c6 corvette using only the mfda system and got great results. Both those cars have pretty hard paint. With this system I don't use my rotary very often any more.

I assume you are very comfortable using the rotary, and I applaud you for that. There are tools available that allow you to achieve outstanding results with a higher safety factor. It is very easy to cause paint damage with a rotary. Check out the results from some of the pro's like superior shine or nick.
