I finally got to try my bottle of Ultimate Polish..Now that it finally stopped raining..Easy on and easy off..Removed minor scratches with ease..Topped it off with NXT 2.0..I haven't picked up Ultimate wax yet..NXT 2.0 wiped off better than ever before..

Where would Ultimate Polish fall in removing swirls compared to ColorX, Ultimate Compound and Swirl X?

Barry, the products are slightly different in purpose and function. Plus whether applied by hand or machine may have some bearing too.

As abrasives it's Ultimate Compound, SwirlX, then Ultimate Polish. Aggressive to mild. However, if by machine, pads, speeds and pressure all have bearing. Ultimate Polish, in my opinion, is dual purpose. Yellow pad, fast speed and pressure it's a mild abrasive cleaner. Black pad, slower speed, less pressure, it's an excellent polish. In the first case removing mild marring, in the second removing micro-marring.

Not sure how ColorX would fit into your question as ColorX is a cleaner wax. It may actually work chemically rather than abrasively and be very mild, but ultimately it's a wax too. So comparing a Ultimate Polish to ColorX does not have a direct correlation. Both gentle, but different.

Again only my opinion and perhaps some experts will weigh in on your question. I love ColorX and Ultimate Polish, both mild both good at their primary functions, cleaner/wax, cleaner/polish.

David, thanks for the great answer. I have a habit of getting stuck in the rut of thinking this product with this pad at this speed and that's it. Your answer reminded me to consider same product, different pad, different speed....for different results altogether.
