Anbody use the Bosch 3727DEVS ?

Powerful 6.5 amp motor with variable speed (3,100-6,650 OPM)

This is what kind of throws me for a loop "Mode selector switch — Quickly change between random orbit mode and "Turbo" mode "

I know its mainly for sanding due to having a vacuum hook up, reason im asking about this is because Bosch is one of my vendors that we use at work for all the other power tools, So i was going to see if i could get one for a "DEMO" and get my car done... Just wondering, any input would be great.

I think the description shown is off. The 3727DEVS is a 3.3 Amp, single mode sander.

It's the 1250DEVS that has the "Turbo" mode with a 6.5 Amp motor.

The "Turbo" mode is forced rotation orbital rather than random orbital with free rotation. Festool and Makita also have dual-mode machines. The very popular FLEX 3401 is forced rotation only.

Haven't tried the Bosch as a buffer. They have shorter throw than other popular buffers, 3/32" verses 5/32" on a PC. So they may or may not be as effective, but I don't know.

    pc.
