  • rotary safe to use on 2002 z28

I was just wondering if my rotary is safe to use on my 02 z28 with all the plastic panels i am worried about the heat it will generate. The paint is actually in pretty good shape just very minor scratches and swirls kind of un noticeable with it being silver

tools that i have for now hope to get more supplies here in future, but it is vector polisher with makita backing plate meguiars 8000&9000 pad, #7, 80, UC, and UP with Gold class wax

    The car will be fine.

The question is have you used a rotary before, skill level with it, etc? That is where the damage could come from.

basically none.... i actually used a wool buffing bonnet thing that came with machine on my 71 demons trunk lid to just test it and had done 0 damage no holograms nothing....unlike the guy I paid close to 200 to detail my car that never even washed my car before he took a buffer to it.

I just kept speed at low rpm 1000-1200 and kept it moving and stayed away from edges....I am sure there is much more i do not know and need to learn and would like to find a place in michigan where i can learn to use this properly. I really would like to attend one of the detailing classes Mike hosts in california but that is hell of a drive for an afternoon class
