  • best way to remove soap scum?

I don't know how this happened...but it was my first wash after getting the brand new car. I used a 3-4 year old car shampoo...
I did rinse...but probably not enough, so the soap baked the soap into the paint?

what's the best way to remove this?

The easiest way would be to remove the "3" and then ulitmate copmound or maybe #205 ( i would try the #205 first )

then get 3m tape to reinstall the "3" or keep it off like i did

I'd probably start off with some car wash soap and a wet microfiber towel and see how that does. If that doesn't work try a paint cleaner like Meguiars Color x with a microfiber towel.

Or a Q-tip with some QD, or paint cleaner on it...

as always, thanks for the tips!

i dunno if i want to remove the "3" emblem tho...i'm thinking of the DC 1 Paint Cleaner First, then maybe DC2 polish with a MF towel....If I use the paint cleaner, will it be bad for the "3" emblem if I get some of the paint cleaner on it? (since it's plastic)

The paint cleaner won't affect the "3" emblem.

I only mentioned removing the "3" cause it will be alot easier to clean inbhind it... and with new 3m tape you can put it back
