Scratches - ScratchX 2.0 vs Ultimate Compound?

Hi All,

Recently purchased a new vehicle and after washing it, discovered a number of minor scratches. I had some Nu Finish Scratch Doctor, used it and it didn't do a very good job.

I picked-up both ScratchX 2.0 and Ultimate Compound last night. Should I try ScratchX 2.0 first? Or Ultimate Compound? Or do something else first?

Its always best to use the least aggressive method first. So yes, scratch x first. Are you working by hand or machine?

I would suggest a clay bar before you get started to make sure the surface is smooth and clean

Remember to do test spots of each to try out the product and yoru technique. Dont do the whole car to see if they work for you.

Most people dont apply them with quite enough passion at first... takes some effort to remove swirls by hand.
