  • Holograms with Gold Class Liquid Wax

The last few times I have waxed my car with Gold Class I have had some pretty bad holograms when I'm done. Anybody else experience this? I think they're pseudo holograms because I've never used a buffer on my car. Is there any way they could be real holograms if I've always waxed by hand or is this something to do with the wax?

Is it the wax smearing/streaking? Do they seem to wear off?

    How are you applying it?

    Any pic?

I applied it with the foam applicator pad that came with it and removed with a microfiber. And no I don't have any pics sorry. It was exactly like a hologram when I moved it moved but if I wiped it would go away at that angle and show up at another.

How long are you allowing the wax to cure on the paint before removal?

          Around 30 minutes.

If the marks are moving when you wipe them, it does sound like some product is still on the paint.

Remove the wax product on the whole car with a MF towel or two, then take a clean MF and go around the whole car again lightly. I think you are still seeing uncured wax residue on the surface. Gold Class has a lot of oils in it which is why we like it. Gold Class over #7 can really make the surface look oily and slick. Let it cure a little longer and wipe it down and it should look great.
