Cleaning Glass

I am having a very hard time cleaning the glass on my truck. The problem is water spots, or etching. I have tried many different cleaners, newspaper, MF"s, glass cleaner with amonia. I think I may need to polish them out. How would I go about this and what should I use. I have LOTS of Meguiars polishes, and others as well. I will try and get some pictures this evening when I get home from work. This is the truck I'm talking about. Tinted windows. Any suggestions?

Have you tried M04 Heavy Cut Cleaner by hand with a piece of terry cloth?

This would be for the outside only, not on the tinted side.
