  • Do I need to buy New Wax?

I bought this NXT tech wax spray two years ago...I used it few times, and then it sat in the garage for a year and half

when I took it out again to use (just got a new car) again today, i spray it on and it was really watery, even after I shook the bottle, it won't haze like it used to.

Do I need to buy a new bottle? (although, when i wipe it off with my buffing towel, but it felt like i was wiping water off, not wax, it didn't dry and haze like wax is supposed to...although it was still nice and smooth)

Doesnt look that bad... and shouldnt be applied that heavy anyway.

But Ultimate Quick Wax is much much better.

I was looking at the How To section

apparently maybe this stuff is supposed to be kinda watery?

I guess because it's really not a "true" wax, and just to keep the shine in between waxing.

you basically just spray and wipe?

Yeah, you may have had the wrong impression, been using it wrong.

The spray waxes are meant to be a 'booster' or 'touch-up' after washing to prolong the life of the regular liquid/paste wax.

Generally you would moisten your applicator and then spray the panel lightly, and spread.

With the Nxt Spray Wax you would want to do the entire car, then come back around and remove any residue.

With the UQW, it is more spray and wipe, if you spread it out, there wont really be residue to remove. But I look to go back around with a final wipe anyway. And really, if you apply too much, you will have residue that is hard to remove.

If kept in a cool environment, and used (so shaken a bit) along the way, 5 years should be reasonable. I am sure my Dad and I have had things last longer.

so i will use my foam applicator to spread the spray wax around the whole car,

            then let it "haze"

then come back and buff with a MF cloth?

Yeah, basically. I actually like to apply the spray waxes with a MF cloth (folded in quarters or so, keep applying with the same part so it stays moist). But some use the foam as well, just up to you.

If applied thin (so you can barely even see it), the first part should be dry when you finish applying to the last part.
