  • Question on Hyper Dressing

I've just started using this product 100% straight, on tires, and it does give a super shine. But it says it's water based, and you can even dilute it with water for less shine. Does that mean that it will all come off when it rains?

    Re: Question on Hyper Dressing

Go ahead and cut it with water at 1:1 or 2:1 and you will still have a glossy look.

      Re: Question on Hyper Dressing

Hyper Dressing is water based and that's why you can dilute it. It will wear off faster than silicon based dressings if that's what you're asking.. I don't think that the resistivity of the dressing changes when you dilute it or not. I think that the dressing will wear off the same way no matter what the dilution.

A water based dressing wont be as durable, no matter the dilution. May get a lot more running though if used full strength.

I'd definately try diluting 1:1 or so at least.

          Re: Question on Hyper Dressing

From ADS Hyper Dressing product description:

          DILUTION:
          High Gloss 1:1
          Medium Gloss 2:1
          Satin Finish 3:1
          Natural Finish 4:1

          DIRECTIONS:
For best results, dilute to proper specifications using a DMS3000 Meter. Spray or Wipe on surface.

NOTE: When applying to tires, wipe off excess (especially grooved areas) to prevent spin-off which may stain painted plastics. Do not use on tires or seats of motorcycles, bicycles or other two-wheeled vehicles or surfaces that should not become slippery.

          PROFESSIONAL TIPS:
To restore shine and luster to all engine components, clean engine compartment with Super Degreaser or Safe D-Greaser, blow excess water with compressed air and apply liberal amounts of diluted Hyper-Dressing and allow to dry.
