  • HELP!! detailing virgin!!!

    Hi folks,
im just new to the world of detailing so on here looking for some tips and advice, ive just bought my first polishing kit which is the kestrel da6 with No80 speedglaze and No 83 dual action polish. . . with pads w7006/8006/9006.
Im going to use it on the the wifes car first!!! she dosnt know yet!! but anyway it is white and covered in the usual swirls and a few hairline scratches . . i know to do the usual wash and then clay bar the car but then im not really sure what my next step is.. the car is 3 years old and has been subject to our poor uk weather so it needs a good coat of polish.
All advice and info is much appreciated...
    Regards Eric

How many pads did you get?

Really just a matter of trying the #80 with the 8006 Polishing Pad on a test spot, seeing how it goes.

If something stronger is needed, then #83 with the polishing pad.

Then wax with the finishing pad after.

Really going to want the polishing pads with the DA for applying most paint cleaners, etc. Might want to look into a couple extras if possible. And for swirl/defect removal, it can be good to switch to a clean pad once or twice while doing the car.
