  • newbie here-please dont flame-got some questions

i went to Lowes today and bought a PC-7336.they were on sale for 80.00 bucks. Anyways i noticed it comes with a foam pad. Do i scrap this pad?

Anyways i want to order the velco type that everyone is using. can anyone point me in the right direction on what i need to convert it to the meguiars pads. i want to order today or tomorrow. I have a some light clearcoat spiderwebbing on my car. i have a white 2002 mustang gt and the fine scratches in the sun is annoying me. ive already have some NX wax and want to order some compound on helping remove the scratches. Would #80 be the best for it. i need a list on what to buy?

Welcome to mol, I think this is what you are looking for W-DAV99. It contains the backing plate, 2 polishing pads, and 1 finishing pad ($32.95). You can use the pad that came with it to polish your glass.

Here is a link to the system travisdecpn is talking about: http://www.meguiars.com/store_meguia...AV99&store=meg

I agree the pad might be good on glass but I wouldn't use it on you vehicle.

ok i ordered the velcro system, #80 speedglaze gallon size, and some Detailing clay. this should get rid of the scratches i have, shouldnt it. Anyways i was browsing all the products and they are alot of products in the polishing section. i hope this works out for me. Do you use the foam applicators to apply the final coat of wax or do you do that by hand? i will be topping it with NX tech wax.

80 is a good place to start if not then move up to 83.... Meguiars always says start with the least agressive.

I always apply wax with the Finishing pad on my PC then remove with the ulltimate bonnet. You can apply NXT with your pc but use a lower speed.

Check this chart for speed settings:

One more tip.... If you have time might try a second coat of NXT wax 12-24 hours after the first. I have found it gives a little more depth other on MOL do the same.

            travis02gt:

you're right in the #80 Speed Glaze. If that doesn't do the job, you may want to upgrade to a more aggressive product like the #83 DACP. But always try the less aggressive product first.
