I have a question about New Car paint protection that New Car Dealers put on cars. Is it worth a $1000.00? And How can you even tell if it is really on the car. I'm having trouble beleving the Dealers claims.

No, its not worth 1k.
When people brag to me about how they purchased this for their vehicle they always get defensive when I tell them I know for a fact its probably gone.Nick

Re: Shaner
Mastershield(used by Mopar) sells for $14.50(internally) a bottle. Applyed to the vehicle takes approx the same time it would to apply a wax or sealant by hand (wax on wax off). I never liked using it I thought it was junk but at the time it was my job, so I had to it...so I found another job..I work for myself am not afraid of the integrity.
Answer to your question. No it is not worth a grand. Dealers do this to make money...period. They're not doing anything for you but taking your money when they offer protection pkgs. I've been around dealrships for more than a decade as a salesman, wholesaler and as a detailer. I have yet to find an honest dealership or one that thinks the detailers/proper detailing are an import part of the sales process. Most look at the detaing part of their dealership as nothing more than a $$ losing part of the bussiness. So they sell protection pkgs, like the one offered to you, for insane amounts of money.
This my own opinion and I stand by it.Professional Automotive Reconditioning Services
