  • hows this process???

Im going to attempt to get the paint on my 98 acura looking better. Its in pretty good shape minus a few very light scratches.
I want to clay, polish, and wax. Please help me with the order of doing things. Heres what i have so far.

    1. Very light Dawn wash to strip old wax.
    2. Meguiars Clay Bar.
    3. Meguiars NXT Wash
    4. Deep Crystal steps 1 and 2.
    5. Do I wash after Polish?? yes or no
    6. Meguiars NXT Wax

Tell me if this will work. Thanks for your opinions

Your process looks pretty good I would just change a couple things. Do you have any pictures? When was the last time the cat was detailed?

My process using your products would be:
    1. Wash with NXT
    2. Clay bar
    3. DC 1
    4. DC 2
    5. NXt tech wax x2

I would not use a dawn wash as DC 1 and the clay will remove the old wax.

Thanks for the help, just one more question. My car is a kind of dark red, maybe light marron, would you suggest laying on a coat of GC before or after the NXT?? Ive read that can help red cars. Ohh yeah and after I do all these step, will regular washing with Mr. Clean Auto Dry affect the wax performace as far as shine, endurance, or durability????

I would see what I thought of NXT on this color. If this is not the look you want, then try the GC wax. As to the Mr. Clean I do not know, as I have not purchased the set.
