and new in to this subject. I don't have full cover of all Meguiars products, although am trying my best by going through many helpful threads in here.
I Have a Nissan Maxima 2010 (Dark slate color)...with its nice curves and body panels. A hot clear coat that gives a very nice reflection under the sun light.
Am working in a ship yard where painting the vessels with special paints (primers, sealer coats and anti fouling paints) required in many cases.
during winter, although i used to park my car away from site, but it got over sprayed in a very bad way in the last couple of weeks. I started noticing this on windows, chrome panels, and the paint. the car is with me since 10 months...which makes me really upset. I can't imagine what will happen in 2 years
all surfaces became rough. You can see the paint dots everywhere, with different colors.
i started looking for a way to remove the overspray without touching the clear coat or polishing (removing a layer from the clear coat).
Sales man in Yellow HAT advised me to go for Meguiars clay bar since its used to remove all contaminants that stick to the clear coat.
After going through the products and found smooth surface clay kit...
i looked in to the procedures and tried to follow the steps from the video guide.
I tried only the hood panel (testing) and the results were amazing, A very smooth surface (glass feel) even without Waxing that I will do as recommended.
BUT, after looking closely to the paint, i figured that paint dots are still there (white color), I tried again on the same area and press more, but of no use.
After going through your products, i found that there are another types of clay bars (mild and aggressive).
Is there any chance that those paint dots will go with the aggressive clay bars????
And if I couldn't remove the paint with the clay bars, what is the next step???? Should I go for a paint cleaner product, or UC.
Taking in mind that i don't want to damage or touch the clear coat if possible.
Please, I need your helpful feedback since am going to work on the car myself tmrw.
