Total new to all this and asking for advice

Hi,

I ordered some products on the advice of the sales guy @Meguiars UK.. but its been a while since they arrived and now we have the first real nice weekend here Iv been out cleaning the car..

Im new to 'propperly' cleaning the car but I want to make sure Iv about to do all this right as Iv forgotten what advice the guy on the sales line said to me...
Iv had a read through most (I think) of the FAQs n tutorials n think Iv got this right but want to check...

I have
NXT car wash + Microfiber wash mitt + water magnet
Deep Crystal paint cleaner
Quick clay
NXT 2.0 wax + cotton terry's (i only got 1 supreme shine towel!!)
Ultimate Detailer, + Supreme Shine towel

The car is a Subaru Forester in Black which has never been detailed before so has some swirls in the paint
now.. I think I have the above in the correct order of use ??? yes?

any tips or advice / links to tutorials that you think are of assistance to me... that would be great.

Basically it is:
1. Wash (you listed as step 1)
2. Clay (you listed as step 3)
3. Remove defects (you listed as step 2)
4. Protect (you listed as step 4)
5. Maintain (you listed as step 5)

Terry isnt great... Better try and get the most out of the Supreme Shine...

Got the order fixed up... But not really sure that the Deep Crystal Cleaner is what you want for removing swirls by hand. It is a very mild cleaner really, and usually need something a little stronger at least for swirls, if not a lot stronger.
