As for the question, as many as you would like! As long as you are doing it right and the surface is clean, there is no harm in waxing often.
Whether or not it is accomplishing anything is a different question, however

After applying 2-3 coats I would just leave it for 2-3 months.
Sealants (synthetic waxes) work great as a foundation and then they can topped with either another layer of sealant or wax.
Don't forget 12-hour cure time for most sealants for maximum protection (before adding another layer).Comment

Law of dimishing returns may apply here. IMO Most products from meguiar's will max out your return by the 2nd layer. Most times I find myself doing a re wax at the beginning of car detailing season, middle, and towards the fall.
But generally thats a major even so upkeep is provided by UQW inbetween washing/waxing.Comment
