    Hi mmoc7

How many applications of Tech Wax did you apply?

How long did you let it dry?

Assuming it looks pretty much unchanged when you try to QD or wax it (unlike a smear) I'd say it sounds like a "hologram". A hologram is basically a very subtle swirl, especially noticeable on clearcoated black cars like yours.

Normally they come from using a harsh cloth when wiping. Since you're using the ultimate bonnet and mf towels it may have come from something unrelated to your detailing process. Where on the car is it? Could it have come from somebody walking past the car and brushing their clothes against it? Maybe it came from somebody touching the finish while there was a film of dirt on it?

Whatever the cause it will probably be reasonably easy to remove. I'd try ScratchX with a foam applicator.
