Little help here please. Okay on a small portion on my center console I have gotten some spots that wont seem to come out so I have decided to cover them up. I actually think it bleached my console or took the color out. It was caused by that instant hand sanitizer gel, which I don't get because its main ingredient is just rubbing alcohol.
I have found some OEM console trim kits, (for the 03 civic) that would cover this up. They are fake woodgrain, carbon fiber, or metalic. I am looking specifically at the carbon fiber one.
Now here is the catch. It says you can not install these on dashes that have been treated with any sort of protectant. From reading the instructions the only issue I see is that the tape wont stick, it looks like 3m double sided tape.
All I have used on my dash is armor all on a regular basis, along with meguiars nxt vinyl and plastic treatment. Is there anyway to strip this protectant all the way off.
Has anybody installed these or something similar using another type of adhesive?
Thanks for any help.
