  • question about quick detailer

i just bought a 2011 chevy cruz . it's white and after it rains i'm sure everyone seen this sometimes it gets black dirt on the sides. i was wondering do i have to rinse it off first, or can i just use UD and wipe it down without scratching my clear coat?

Quick detailers are mostly used for light dust removal. If you have some contaminants it's better to remove them first to ensure scratch-free experience.

Car duster can help as well before QD application.

As long as the surface is relatively clean (light dusting and water spotting ok) QD will be your choice to clean the surface. If you wait more than a day or two after a rainshower and the vehicle is driven alot a QD wipedown will induce some swirls. If you dont have time for a wash you can follow the wipedown with some quik wax to help hide the swirls untill you have time for a proper wash and detail.
