Well I have been washing cars by hand for awhile now but recently i have bought a pressure washer and was wondering some things about it, whats the max psi thats safe to use on a car? can you damage the paint using it? Is there a type of head that you would recommend? and ones you do not suggest using?

Re: pressure washers
A lot of pressures washers now a days have between 2500-3000 psi while some commercial grade ones can go up to 4000+ psi.
The one that I use is 3000 psi but it has to be done with extreme caution. Avoid getting too close to any painted surface. I try not to get closer than about 2-3 feet as much as possible.
Definitely want to go with the widest angle tip you can find usually come in 40*, 25*, 0*. Don't use a 0* tip as it can cut concrete and will strip the paint right off cars. The other tips can take the paint off also.
