help new fifth wheel what to use

alright of course I am new. Have no idea what to use, so i am looking for help. I have a 40ft fifth wheel with 4 slide outs. It has a gel coat surface and decals down the side. I need to know what is the best wash, wax, and applicator if needed? How often do i need to wax? and have aluminum wheels, what is the best product for them? Please help.

First off...WELCOME to MOL!

Check out Megs Boat/RV products. Being a new unit, I'd be looking at Flagship Wax. If you need a bit of 'cleaning' before wax, again Flagship but Cleaner/Wax. I have used the wax (good results) but not the cleaner/wax, but folks give it major thumbs up, cleans well.

As for application, that's a lot of real estate and doing it by hand can be daunting...but it is doable. I really recommend getting a DA type of polisher. May seem spendy at the on set, but as said above...That's a LOT of real estate.

Al wheels, same as you'd use on a car.

There is a LOT of talk about NOT waxing the graphics on RV's, so I'll just add my experience...I DO wax them. I do have some edge curling, but I doubt very much it is caused by any application of a 'wax', but more from the 'elements'.

thanks alot. There are so many products out there. I have been reading alot about everything that is out there but no one can give me a straight answer about using things on the gel coat sides. Can I ask how many times do you think that I would have to do this in a year time?

You can use the car products on the Gel Coat as well, if you just wanted to buy something for all your vehicles.

If it is kept in good shape, you wouldnt really need the stronger gel coat products.

As mentioned, carefull around the edges of the graphics.
