I want to use Swirl X on my Sister-in-laws red Toyota. Not sure what to use after. Can I go with a wax or a glaze. Recommend something also tell me if I should apply by hand or machine. I have both the PC and the Flex. Also what pad can I use? Thanks.

    Re: Swirl X

SwirlX is a cleaner/ polish. It uses super micro abrasives.

If you use it for below surface defect removal (water spots, swirls, oxidation, scratches) then yellow polishing pad will provide more muscle (DA speed 4-5).
I'd do a test spot first to see if SwirlX is strong enough to complete the job successfully. If not then the next step would be Ultimate Compound.

I would use a DA polisher as the final results will be much better and faster achieved than working by hand.

Polishing would be an optional step after, to add some gloss to the paint. Pure polishes like Deep Crystal Polish, M07 Show Car Glaze would be good candidates for this step. Black finishing pad works best with those products (DA speed 2-3).

Finish with your favorite wax/ sealant also using black finishing pad (DA speed 2-3).
