Hello - I have a 2005 scion xb that is dark blue. I purchased the car a month ago from a dealership . It may have had the swirl for free option installed but it was hard to gauge because up until about few days ago the weather has been overcast and or rain. I finally did a full detail by hand using the following
Gold Wash
Meguiars clay
Ultimate Compound
Nxt wax
Endurance tire spray.
I use foam application pads and a microfiber cloth for the compound and wax.
The car looks great and I get a few complements here and there. My problem started today.
I noticed that in direct sun light there are swirl marks or haze, I can't tell which. They are all over. This could have been my fault or dealership detail.
I tried adding another coat of UC but it did not help. I have read many post here on the "proper" techinques but I still could have messed up . The paint looks fine unless in direct sun light. The reason this bothers me is because soon in Atlanta it will be sunny and hot all the time and I can see the marks as an eye sore. Is the best thing to try Swirl X followed by re-coat of UC and NXT wax ? Thanks for any responses .
