  • How do you know?

How do you know when a microfiber towel is good enough to dry or wipe your car with after washing? I trust any towels by Megs but what about at Wal-mart or Autozone when I dont have time to wait on an order? I'd hate to put swirls back into my car becasue i used the wrong Microfiber. Any suggestions are appreciated.
Am i obsessed?? A car is the second biggest financial investment for most people, why not keep it looking better than new?

I would say try the CD test. Get a blank CD and rub the microfiber towels in question on the face of the CD. If they scratch then they are not worthy.

Considering the time/frustration involved in removing self-induced swirls, I'd wait for the right towels to arrive. I've shot myself in the foot more than once; waiting a week is worth it to me.

Meguiar's Water Magnets if your really paranoid. I use a California Water Blade and one WM will do the car, but if I really wanted to not use the blade. 3 WM would be fine. I used to use MF towels but I find WM work better.
