What do you guys use to clean the inside of your rims, I have seen the power ball things, do they work?

Re: Cleaning inside the rims
Power ball would be more for polishing metal, or at least using a paint cleaner for deeper cleaning.
If you just mean for washing, you can go with an older sponge/mitt, or a few companies make brushes. The Daytona Wheel brush is pricey but supposed to be fantastic. Or something in that shape for a brush.

I have that brush that Murr refers to in his post and I love it. Does a great job. But as mentioned, it is a bit pricey.Don

Re: Cleaning inside the rims
I just use my hands and an old wash mitt and car wash soap and water, but the 5 spoke wheels on my car have enough room to get to the inside of the wheels...Joel

Both sets get a very thorough wash once they're taken off for the season, then they get washed again, (aluminum get polished) then waxed when it's time to put them on.
I only use the power ball and cone on my polished aluminum rims. There is no need to use it on the clear coated rims. I must say, polishing the aluminum rims would really stink if it wasn't for the power ball/cone..it's wonderful! I use either NXT All Metal Polysh or Mag & Aluminum Polish with the ball/cone. Both sets of rims are waxed with Collinite 845.Kyla | 2006 Z71 Chevy Tahoe | 1986 Chevy Blazer dragster | 1951 Mercury coupe

I've had mine for a year now. Still like new. Great brush. Great for under the hood, too.

Re: Cleaning inside the rims
I recently purchased a Daytona Speed Master Wheel Brush but have yet to use it.
Due to the shape of my mags it is difficult if not impossible to get my hands inside.
I like the way the brush is able to bend to shape to enable it to fit inside the wheel.
The only way I've been able to clean inside was to completely remove each wheel!
I'm looking forward to giving this wheel brush at try. I'm hoping it'll give good results.
If it works, it will sure be a lot easier than my current process of having to remove each wheel!

Re: Cleaning inside the rims
You would want to verify your wheel material.
If it is a chrome, you probably wont be able to remove them much. It may remove some real fine ones, or help hide them maybe.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: Cleaning inside the rims
as long as the wheels arent anodized or polished alum I would liberally spray some wheel brightener on the inside of the rim let it sit for about 30seconds, if you have a brush that fits in there use that and rinse. You should have very close to spotless rim barrells after that....
