Re: too much polish?
Different companies terms make things worse to figure out.
For Meguiars, pure polishing means just oils. But different levels of cleaning means how much swirls can be removed.
Using the new kit and the new products would not be a problem if #105 didnt help... But i would be wondering how you used the #105? Odd for it to do nothing? If you tried using it on too big of an area at a time, not cleaning the pad often, etc, these problems will be the same with the MF.2017 Subaru WRX Premium - WR Blue

Re: too much polish?
i used 105 on a white, orange, yellow pad. i bumped up the pads to increase the aggressiveness because i was getting very minimal results. ive been reading mazda has hard clear....then read that it has soft clear.... ive also washed, clayed, 205 white pad to a door panel and it still had swirls. =(

Re: too much polish?
The more aggressive product you use,the more its going to swirl(and the more clear is being removed). If your paints not too bad, like deep scratches ,or heavy oxidation, heavy compound isnt really needed. If youre trying to remove the swirls left over from the compound, and the polish leaves swirls, try a hand polish/glaze and wax afterwards.Again,im not sure what kind of polisher you are using. Also, make sure your pads are not getting gummed up,and the surface is clean and cool since heat creates swirls also.
