Im looking for an aerosol dressing that can help me with windshield cowels and tights spots where app is to tedious or impossible. Any that you guys use, i know the old trim accent was discontinued, stoners, and adams make similar products as well, the adams can be wiped off of paint and glass if overspray happens. what do you guys use or suggest, experiences with similar products.

I knew Accent Coating was discontinued, I thought it was replaced by Accent "Dressing". Here's a thread I posted about it a year ago:

I've used both of these aerosol products to restore black trim. Both work excellent. The Detailer line Accent Coating (which appears to have been renamed Accent Dressing) says it's for professional use and has more nasties listed as ingredients as well as a stouter scent. Aerosol Trim Detailer in the Consumer Line has the nifty

Google turns up Accent Dressing a couple of places:

Restore the like-new look of any vehicle with premium European car care supplies from SONAX, including paint polishes, leather cleaners and detailing sprays.

I picked up a can of Meg's aerosol Trim Detailer OTC and other than a different smell, package and adjustable sprayer I couldn't tell any difference in performance.

See why Meguiar’s has been a trusted car care company for more than 120 years by shopping an authorized selection of products to treat any motorized vehicle.

Think I found it at AutoZone.

Thanks TL, I looked at the links and it seems most places have it on backorder, ADS recommends more shine less time, I still looking for other alt. cause I don't know how it looks; as it seems not to many use it. Anybody have experience with a different product that's similar

        Re: Aerosol Dressing

Never really used aerosols all that much. But what about Meguiars Hot Shine Tire Coating? I have used that and it works well. But, I would give Stoner's a shot as everyone I have heard from who uses it really likes it.

If you want to go very expensive, Adams sells a spray called In-n-Out Spray that is designed exactly for what you describe. It is is like $15 a can though......

            Re: Aerosol Dressing

Maybe I'm looking for an unnecessary product, how do you guys usually go about dressing a cowel with lots of louvers, Just spray it with some dressing and wipe any over-spray with some QD

              Re: Aerosol Dressing

Yeah, most would go with the dressing. Trying to spray on towel, brush as much as possible to keep down overspray.

Hyper Dressing is good at spreading easily.

All Season Dressing or Ultimate Protectant would be more durable.

                Re: Aerosol Dressing

If I spray a little product on the end of some brush bristles and work it in a little, do you think that should work well?

                  Re: Aerosol Dressing

I have not used a bristled brush, but see no reason why not.

Works fine with a foam one.

I'll have to try it with that method , sounds like it would work for what I'm planning

                      Try Stoner Trim Shine.
