  • Has anyone actually used the TW liquid clay??

Picked up a box today at walmart on sale for $10,never used the tw clay, and never even paid any attention to it till I got the box home. And I see that the lq clay says it "removes" swirls lol, guessing it has some kind of fillers in it then...

I have been using clay for 7 years now,and really dont want to waste my time with this stuff. But thought I might try it out and see what it is all about.Just curious if anybody on here has actually tried it?And what is the verdict??I really havnt heard anything about it....

To me it seems like this stuff would just be a messy waste of time....

I think others have made posts about the product. Might want to search. From what I recall, general thought was that it was not really clay... rather a type of polish.

It's more of a light paint cleaner than clay.

I agree, in some instances it can be useful, but is not as effective as clay.
I use it to clean glass in prep for applying my glass coating.

I remember a review on Autogeek a while ago and IIRC that was the opinion. I've been into detailing for 40 years and I consider detailing clay to be the most significant product advancement in that time period. I don't think any liquid or paste product will ever take its place.
Many years ago we would do a complete compound and wax on a car and still feel the presence of contaminants on the surface once completed. Nowadays, after a simple claying, you have a smooth palette to work with. Nothing in a bottle will likely match that in my lifetime.

I have used TW Liquid Clay. As Shawn noted, it's basically a light paint cleaner. It worked well enough. I probably won't buy it again, but only because I already own too many paint cleaners.
