Re: Is there a need to polish after m105/205
Well according to everything I have read 205 has a little bit of moisturizing trade secret oils, but its very little. Personally I would use a pure polish if you have dry paint, if the paint is newer and not dried out then there's more then likely enough oil in 205

Its an 04 350z so I wouldn't say it dried up, but I want it too look as good as possible since this is the first detail since I bought the car.
Is Deep Crystal Polish not a pure polish? I didn't think it had any abrasives or protectants.

M205 is effectively your polishing step. There would be very little to be gained by polishing with Deep Crystal after M205 - especially if you're working on clear coat.Originally posted by BluelineI own a silver vehicle and a black vehicle owns me. The black one demands attention, washing, detailing, waxing and an occasional dinner out at a nice restaurant. The silver one demands nothing and it looks just fine. I think the black vehicle is taking advantage of me, and the silver car is more my style. We can go out for a drive without her makeup and she looks fine. If I want to take the black one out, it is three or four hours in the "bathroom" to get ready.

Re: Is there a need to polish after m105/205
why dont u just use a pure polish such as show car glaze #7 after 205
everyone on here can vouch that #7 is the best pure polish.
or instead of using 205 use ultimate polish...it has more polishing oils then 205Don't get so caught up making a living that you forget to make a life.

Sfergy, yes you can apply Deep Crystal Polish after M205. DCP is a pure polish, which means it is nonabrasive. Apply a thin coat to one section at a time and immediately buff off. Will you see a difference? Maybe, maybe not. It all depends on the color and paint system. Since you already have the bottle of DCP, you might as well give it a whirl and see what you see.Swirls hide in the black molecular depths, only waiting for the right time to emerge and destroy your sanity.
