    Hello MRCLEAN!

I understand your concern with drying. As the owner of a black vehicle, I deal with the constant reminder that I need to be very careful with my paint so that I don't mar or introduce swirling to the finish.

Your question is a very good one as you're obviously pre-thinking about the potential outcomes by using a poor product or incorrect technique.

I like a nice waffle weave microfiber like the Meguiar's Microfiber Drying Towel. This towel offers an incredible surface area and is reusable again and again. Another option is the Microfiber Super Suede Drying Towel.

Neither of these products will scratch the paint.

As an added suggestion, you may consider obtaining a couple of these so that you may utilize one for the 'upper' portions of your vehicle and then another one for the 'lower' portions. By doing this, you lessen the chances of introducing the grit and grime that may be present on one area (probably the lower) to the other areas of your vehicle and thus, lessen your chances of scratch/swirl/mar introduction. Also, make sure that you let the towel do the work for you. A good drying towel will absorb the moisture without you having to apply downward pressure. This technique will also lessen the chances of creating problems on your paint.

I hope that helps out a bit. Please feel free to ask any other questions that you may have!
