Does anyone here have pictures of #26 on a black vehicle? I'd like to get a "feel" for how it adds depth and darkens the paint.

Welcome to Meguiar's Online!
I'm apoligize that I haven't responded to your question sooner...
I tend to use a lot on NXT Tech Wax on all the cars I detail, so most of my pictures are of this wax on black paint and not M26 Hi Tech Yellow Wax, although it's an awesome wax.
The best way to get a feel for it would be to try it yourself. Meguiar's offers a money back guarantee if your not satisfied with any of their products and I'm proof positive they'll back this up if your not satisfied.
Remember, M26 is a pure wax, which means it has no cleaners or cleaning ability; as such it should only be applied to a finish in excellent condition. This mean the finish should be as smooth as new glass and free from any below surface defects. If your unsure, then evaluate your cars finish after washing with both your sense of touch for above surface bonded contaminants and with your eyes in bright light like the sun for swirls and scratches. If either of these defects are detected then you will want to use some detailing clay to clay your finish first and then a paint cleaner to remove swirls, scratches, oxidation, staining, etc.
I'll see if I can scare up a good donor car for a M26 demonstration.

Dear Mike,
Thanks for the response! The reason I even posted in the first place is because I saw #26 on sale at my local Autozone for $4.99. Before you had a chance to reply, I decided to purchase it anyways. At a price like that, I figure it's a small expense to pay for a little experimentation.
I'm a #16 user for life (I just purchased about 3 cans...should last me a lifetime!). I've always been very pleased with the Meguiar's line, and I am looking to try more of their products. My plan for now is to continue using #16 as my "winter wax", and then switch over to #26 once the weather gets warmer.
It's too bad that Meguiar's isn't closer to where I live, as I would love to attend one of your clinics. All I can really ask for is that your company will continue to make superior products!Jeff

We'll forgive you for showing up at class in a rental. (Just don't bother detailing it.)

Hi JSM:
I have an Acura with Honda's Nighthawk Black Pearl color. It basically looks black except at certain angles under the sun. Then you can see the metallic blue flakes. I've used #16 & #26 at the same time on different panels on my car and they both look about the same. I did find #16 easier to remove because it is easier to get a thin layer than the #26. I discovered the same sale at Autozone and wound up cleaning out the two Autozones nearest me. I was able to get seven cans! Like you said, 4.99 is a hard to beat, especially for a pure wax as reputable as #26.Too much of a good thing is even better!
