  • Liquid vs. wax

Tried the search function but could not find, so....................
Many of the same products come in either liquid or wax form.
Is there any advantage over one over the other or is it pretty
    just personal preferance?

    Re: Liquid vs. wax

I've always felt that paste wax has more endurance than liquid, but I now believe I'm wrong. According to posts here from Meguiar's company reps, the changes in formulation necessary to make a product pourable have no negative effects on durability or quality.
Those who use a r/o machine to apply prefer liquid since it's easier to coat the pad.
Since I wax by hand, I still prefer working with paste and I feel it's easier to spread a consistent thin film. But in reality it's just personal preference.

I heard from our Administrator, Mike Stoops, that Ultimate Paste Wax applied with a DA and 4" finishing pad looks absolutely incredible.

Will try it as soon as the weather gets better.

As BillyJack said, it’s merely a matter of personal preference when choosing between liquid and paste. Meguiar’s has formulated their liquid waxes to be as durable as their paste waxes. A lot of people tend to go with liquid out of ease and convenience. That being said, I still tend to prefer paste personally.

I lean toward paste also.......anxious to try the Ultimate. This is what my SS looks like with NXT:

I think paste is just easier when done by hand....liquid is easier with a DA....i think it just personal pref.

I only use paste as I only wax by hand....

I Have used NXT in both forms and I realy like the paste I like to wax by hand I think it is easier to get a thin uniform coat on the car with the paste IMOP.
