  • Which car wash

I never use a car wash, but my car has so much road salt on it & the temperature is 32 so i may have to use one.
Should i use a regular car wash that uses brushes or go to one that has a touchless system that uses high pressure spray ?
I wonder if the touchless one will really clean the car.

You can use the touchless. It uses strong chemicals that dissolve dirt and grime pretty well. You can always touch up some spots with a QD or waterless wash product when you got hime if it missed a small area. I would go through the touchless before the brushes.

Obviously neither scenario is a "best case" situation, but getting the salt off the finish is what's really important. A truly "touchless" wash will most likely strip off any wax that the salt hasn't already gotten to, but at least it won't beat your car up with dirty brushes.

Another option is to take the car to a coin operated wash bay and pressure wash the salt off it there. Having some QEW or ONR to then do a full rinseless wash in your garage with a couple gallons of water will get it very clean once again.

If you don't go the route that Mike suggested, I vote the touchless wash.
