I was reading that if M 105 dry fast, use M80 instead. After using M80 not is required to use M105?

If M105 dry fast on my car it always will dry fast? or after polished, the next time is will last longer?

M80 will have more cut with wool pad than M105 with foam polishing pad?

If #80 removes the defects, there would be no need for #105.

Remember UC also should have a longer working time, if you needed something stronger than #80.

But yeah, #105 probably would always dry fast. Maybe if you had a case with a real oxidized layer of paint, and you removed it, then #105 would do better after.

Dont know how the wool pad would change things.

M105 Ultra Cut Compound is Meguiar's most aggressive compound (cut scale 12).
M80 Speed Glaze is a cleaner polish (cut scale 4).

Mike Stoops explained it that if you work on paint surface which is pretty dry, oxidized and it hasn't been polished for a long period of time you may experience that paint just absorbs all oils in M105 making it dry very quickly.

Priming your pad with product (Kevin Brown Method) helps to some level and after priming you use very small amount of M105.

Jason Rose (from Meguiar's R&D) explained that M105 may not be a product which gurantees best results on all types of paints. In some rare cases different compound, like Ultimate Compound, may produce better results.

M80 has very rich polishing oils and it's less aggressive so in certain situation it's gonna leave you with great final results.

The best answer - do a test spot, it's so worth it.

We think you misunderstood something in that other thread. In the case of the particular car where M105 was a very poor fit, M80 worked much better, and for all the reasons stated in that in post and that Greg echoed here. At the time we worked on that particular car we did not have Ultimate Compound available, or we may well have chosen it after discovering the issue with M105 in that application.

Having said that, Ultimate Compound will offer far more cutting power than M80 yet not create anywhere near the amount of dust that M105 does. UC is derived from M105 so it uses the same abrasive technology, but it's also designed for use on a D/A while M105 is really more of a rotary product for fresh paint.

On your older car (13 year old Toyota, if memory serves) you are more likely to get results using Ultimate Compound than either M105 or M80, and with a much better user experience in the process.

Yeah the paint is 13 years old, well M105 works but it dries very fast so I need to spend a lot of product to do all the car and it is the more cutting power and for I saw I need more cutting power in some areas I think I need a woolpad. BTW the gloss that make M105 alone is very nice compared with using no cutting polish, I think the paint need that cutting. The paint gets more clarity and looks like new, still there are scratches all over the car I think I cant remove it without making a lot of cutting so I dont think I will remove it. After the M105 the paint feels very clean to touch, like use a dishwasher and hot (not very hot) so the M105 not have a lot of oils. M205 works great for me it has 2 to 3 more durability.

Technically, no. But a lot of people have experimented with it and gotten excellent results, and they've all said that it gives them a longer buffing cycle than M105. This is going to be especially true with older, dried out paint.
